Survey Shows 20 % Increase in Twitter and Facebook Ban at Work
There has been a 20 percent increase in the blocking of social networking sites in the last six months.
According to ScanSafe's data, 76 percent of companies now block social networking. It is now more popular to block than online shopping (52 %), weapons (75 %), alcohol (64 %), sports (51 %) and Webmail (58 %).
Does this mean an armed, drunk rugby union player is less of an issue at work than Facebook?

Why you need to keep your private and corporate Facebook page separate...
Here's a good example of why you need to keep your personal Facebook profile separate to your corporate Facebook page. Having said that, do people really talk about their colleagues like this??? Would you hire this person?
Thanks to Bianca, for sending this through to me!

Ruddy's new blog
Our PM is with it! I've been following Kevin Rudd's Tweets and it's quite nice getting the odd update on what's happening in parliament.
In keeping with his new social media persona, Rudd has started a blog. The current focus is on climate change, with the PM asking for comments and feedback from Australians. They claim to moderate all posts within 24 working hours.
Even if you don't support Kevin Rudd, there's a fair bit of useful information about him, his wife and The Ministry available on his blog.
I think it's a step in the right direction. Good stuff PM Rudd. Let's see if it works.
Wordy thought for today:
The X in Xmas stands for the Greek letter chi - written X - and chi is the intial letter of the Greek word for Christ.
